"The cost of health care continues to be a real and pressing concern. Making sure we are paying for high quality health-care services, not just the number of services provided is just one of the most critical issues facing the American public and the federal government now and in the future."
- Kerry Weems, Acting Administrator, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, US Department of Health and Human Services
The World Health Care Congress 7th Annual Leadership Summit on Health Care Quality (HCQ) convenes the industry's top visionaries and thought leaders to advance quality improvement initiatives and drive the nation's health care reform agenda. Through the exploration of topics such as pay-for-performance, value-based purchasing, the patient-centered medical home, performance measures and metrics, patient safety, consumer engagement and patient-centered care health care professionals will be equipped with the tools and techniques that foster change at their organizations. As the only Executive Summit assembling representatives from all sectors of health care, including hospital/health system/group practice providers; health plan/payer executives; government officials; society and coalition leaders; and employer/purchaser decision-makers, HCQ 2009 breaks down barriers and leads the nation in developing solutions for achieving and rewarding quality throughout the entire delivery system.
