Ms. Brye leads a dedicated team at T-Mobile focused on managing regulatory, legal and operational risks arising from doing business with third parties, including cyber-security, privacy, financial, business continuity, geopolitical, and other areas of potential concern.

Prior to joining T-Mobile, Ms. Brye was Director, Corporate Counsel at Starbucks Coffee Company with responsibility in the areas of intellectual property, cyber-security, privacy, government investigations and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Brye previously worked in the financial services industry as Assistant General Counsel, Vice President for JPMorgan Chase & Co/JPMorgan Chase Bank and as First Vice President & Senior Counsel at Washington Mutual Bank supporting complex litigation, intellectual property and government investigations. She was previously in private practice at the Seattle office of Lane Powell, PC where she represented financial institutions and creditors in business reorganizations, commercial litigation and monetization of intellectual property.

Brian is a Senior Attorney with Microsoft’s HR Legal Group (HRLG) where he is currently a member of the Global Employment Law Team, manages the HRLG’s Data and Business Insights team, and sits on the HRLG Leadership Team. Brian is the lead attorney for Microsoft’s HR, legal and business and engineering teams on employee privacy compliance (including the GDPR) and also advises business teams on Microsoft’s engagement with the gig economy. Brian also currently chairs Microsoft’s Employee Data Governance Board. Brian also previously supported Microsoft’s European and Latin American operating subsidiaries, including engagement with Microsoft’s works councils in Europe. Before joining the Global Employment Law Team, Brian provided U.S. employment advice to Microsoft’s North American sales subsidiary, the Microsoft Office Division, and Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise business. He also supported advice in areas including enforcement of restrictive covenants; support of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; wage and hour compliance; labor relations issues; and Microsoft’s incentive compensation plans. Prior to joining Microsoft, Brian was an associate with the employment law practices at Perkins Coie, and Sebris Busto James, both in Seattle. Brian received his law degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University, and his undergraduate degree from Reed College.

Jennifer Harkins Garone is the North American Privacy Officer for the Carnival Corporation as of July 2018. Previously, she spent ten years at Microsoft leading privacy in IT, HR and corporate privacy.

Jennifer is a reformed marketer, and it was while leading direct marketing at Citizens Bank that she gained privacy responsibilities. She was then the Privacy Leader for GE Money – Americas.

Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) and early IAPP member, Jennifer is also a former Chairperson of the DMA Ethics Policy Committee. In 2012 she received the Microsoft Engineering Excellence privacy award.

Jennifer is active in her local community, is a City Councilperson and serves on the Board of NCL, Inc., Emerald City.

Len Ho is the Division Counsel at Zipcar, the world’s leading car sharing network. As the head of Legal, Len has managed M&A; transactions, regulatory matters with U.S. and international agencies, as well as significant federal and state litigation. He also oversees all privacy, intellectual property, and commercial contracting matters.

Prior to Zipcar, Len was the primary legal counsel to the global IT, operations and corporate sales functions at Boston Scientific, a multi-billion dollar medical device maker. Previously, Len led the legal function at Upromise, an online marketing and college savings company and a division of Sallie Mae. Len started his in-house legal career leading the legal function at Game Show Network Digital, an operator of online gaming entities including fantasy sports and sports odds businesses.

As a law firm corporate associate at Mintz Levin and Palmer & Dodge (now Locke Lord) in Boston, Len represented technology companies and investment firms involved in M&A; and various corporate transactions. Len began his legal career at Brobeck in San Francisco, representing investment banks and technology companies involved in financings, M&A; and IPOs.

Len has his B.S. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. from New York University. Prior to law school, Len earned his CPA designation working in corporate tax for Arthur Andersen in New York City.

Len serves as a Board Member of Make-a-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island, which creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Len is also a Board Member of the Asian American Lawyers of Massachusetts, a non-partisan, non-profit organization devoted to serving the Asian American legal community and improving and facilitating the administration of law and justice. Lastly, Len is a Board Member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Northeast Region, which provides educational, professional and networking events for in-house counsel.

He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE), the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). He serves on the Privacy Committee and Certified Third Party Risk Professional Working Group of the Shared Assessments Program.

David Kessler is Public Sector Product & Cybersecurity Counsel for Verizon, where he handles product and cybersecurity compliance for ~$6B in sales to Federal, State & Local Government, Educational Institutions and Public Safety customers. Previously David was General Counsel, Managing Attorney, Board Member & Director of McAfee Public Sector LLC, a subsidiary of McAfee LLC (formerly Intel Security). He also served as McAfee’s Chief Compliance Officer and managed a team responsible for all aspects of its worldwide ethics and compliance program. Prior to joining McAfee, David served as Group Corporate Counsel, Public Sector at Autodesk, Inc., a 2D and 3D software manufacturer. He also served as Senior Corporate Counsel – Public Sector with Symantec, and was a senior associate with Greenberg Traurig, LLP, the largest law firm in the United States. He received his B.A. with honors from the University of Florida and his J.D., summa cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law.

Heather is Senior Corporate Counsel at Insight Enterprises, Inc., a publicly traded global technology solution provider. Her areas of responsibility include international commercial transactions, cloud services, data security and privacy, intellectual property matters, and mergers and acquisitions. Heather also advises the business on the review and implementation of business transformation strategies. Prior to joining Insight, she gained private-practice experience with a leading law firm and in-house experience at two Fortune 500 companies. She also serves as the Budget Officer for the In-House Counsel Section of the State Bar of Arizona.

Joseph Wender currently serves as Senator Markey’s Senior Policy Advisor and handles a wide range of issues including telecommunications and privacy. Mr. Wender previously served as then-Representative Markey’s Legislative Director. Prior to working for Markey, Mr. Wender served as Counsel for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He received his BA from Wesleyan University and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
