As president, Walleshauser oversees Nova’s business strategy, operational performance and service delivery. To help solve industry challenges, he brings with him more than 20 years of experience in senior management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. Under Walleshauser, Nova is committed to the development of concierge-level products and services focused on better access, increased quality, and affordability of health care to Nova’s partners and clients.
The strength of Nova’s leadership team, paired with Walleshauser’s passion for service and commitment to excellence, will enable Nova to maintain its current business model and focus on continued growth.
Prior to joining Nova, Walleshauser served as president for Evolve Practice Partners, an affiliate organization of Independent Health. There he led a dynamic and innovative team of practice management professionals to help primary care physicians achieve excellence in care and best patient outcomes, while also remaining independent as the health care industry quickly transitions to a value-based model of care.
Walleshauser joined Independent Health in 2008 as vice president, business transformation, and was then promoted to vice president, office of strategy management. He most recently served as senior vice president, health care services operations. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the health care operations function as well as coordinating and implementing strategic and operational initiatives for health care services and medical management.
In 2009, Walleshauser and the rest of the Independent Health executive team were named Executive Team of the Year by HealthLeaders Media magazine.
Before Independent Health, he worked for Rich Products Corporation as director, business process services. In this position, he provided strategic focus and leadership for business process services. Prior to Rich Products, he was chief information officer, director of corporate planning at Try-It Distributing Co., Inc. Walleshauser has an extensive background in project management, process management and strategic planning.
Walleshauser earned his bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Notre Dame and his master’s in business administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Walleshauser attained the status of Certified Health Insurance Executive in 2010, is a graduate of Leadership Buffalo – Class of 2016, and currently sits on Leadership Buffalo’s board of directors.
