Mr. Brennan was appointed President and Executive Director of HCCI in June 2017. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing HCCI’s advancements in price transparency and public reporting, increasing both the comprehensiveness and access to HCCI’s expansive data set, as well as working with state policy and decision makers to improve their health care systems. He is a nationally recognized expert in health care policy, the use of health care data to enable and accelerate health system change, and data transparency. He has published widely in leading academic journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and Health Affairs. Prior to joining HCCI, Mr. Brennan was Chief Data Officer at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He has also worked at the Brookings Institution, the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, the Congressional Budget Office, the Urban Institute, and Price WaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Brennan received his MPP from Georgetown University and his BA from University College Dublin, Ireland.

Jacqueline Corrigan-Curay, J.D., M.D., serves as Director of CDER’s Office of Medical Policy (OMP). She leads the development, coordination, and implementation of medical policy programs and strategic initiatives. She works collaboratively with other CDER program areas, FDA centers, and stakeholders on enhancing policies to improve drug development and regulatory review processes.

OMP is comprised of the Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) and the Office of Medical Policy Initiatives (OMPI). OPDP oversees the regulation of prescription drug promotion and advertising. OMPI provides oversight and direction for new and ongoing policy initiatives in broad-based medical and clinical policy areas.

Prior to joining FDA, she served as supervisory medical officer with the Immediate Office of the Director, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), at National Institute of Health’s (NIH) where she focused on developing policies and procedures to enhance the clinical trial enterprise. She also served as the Director of the Office of Biotechnology Activities (OBA), Office of Science Policy at NIH, where she was executive secretary of the NIH Recombinant DNA Advisory Committee. She has held positions as an attending physician with the VA Medical Center, a policy analyst with the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, and a practicing attorney in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Corrigan-Curay earned her law degree from Harvard Law School, her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine, and a bachelor’s degree in history of science from Harvard/Radcliffe College in Cambridge, MA. She completed her training in internal medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she also served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine. She continues to practice internal medicine part-time at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Corey M. Dennis, CIPP/US, is Director of Privacy & Counsel at Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD), a leading global clinical research organization (with over 19,000 employees in nearly 50 countries globally) providing comprehensive drug development and laboratory services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. At PPD, Mr. Dennis focuses on privacy and data security matters, as well as general corporate, M&A;, and litigation matters. He has been an active leader and editorial board member of international data protection publications, and has written and spoken extensively on the subject. He also has experience with “big data,” study feasibility, and real-world evidence initiatives relating to clinical research and observational studies.

Dr. Shahram Ebadollahi is the Vice President of Innovations (R&D;) and Chief Science Officer of IBM Watson Health. He is the technical founder of Watson Health, IBM's first vertical industry business unit in 2015, building on his previous role as the global head and founder of Health Informatics Research for IBM. He oversees all product engineering, innovation incubation, and intellectual property for Watson Health. In his capacity as the Chief Science and Technology Officer, he determines the overall technical and scientific strategy for Watson Health and IBM as a whole in the area of healthcare and life sciences.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Ebadollahi was the global head and founder of Health Informatics Research for IBM, which spanned IBM's global research labs in Asia, Europe, Africa and the US. He has pioneered novel technologies in the area of health analytics and computational health, has published many scientific publications, and has led scientific projects funded by national agencies.

Dr. Ebadollahi received his masters and doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, where he worked on the analysis of multi-modal medical documents. He also has a MBA degree from Columbia University. His interests span, healthcare, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at various healthcare and health analytics related events.

Denise is currently leading the global privacy department as Chief Privacy Officer, Senior Corporate Counsel for Jazz Pharmaceuticals in Palo Alto, California. Her previous roles included: Senior Director, Global Privacy Officer, Lead Privacy Counsel for NetSuite and Head of Legal, Data Privacy and Compliance Officer for Microsoft Ireland where she provided support for Microsoft’s European Development Centre, Irish Subsidiary, Data Centre and Microsoft's Operations Center for Europe, Middle East and Africa. She is skilled in government affairs, regulatory compliance, strategy development, operations, litigation, mediation, product and business development, partner management, and transactions with a focus on privacy, information security, international business, technology and intellectual property.

Denise is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association (2005 – Present) and registered as In-House Counsel with the California State Bar Association (2016 - Present). She was a Charter Member of the Ireland Chamber of Commerce General Counsel Forum (2013 – 2016), Board Member of the Society for Computers and Law Irish Chapter (2013 – 2016), Committee Member for the Data Working Group of the Department of the Taoiseach (2105 – 2016), Chair of the Data Privacy and Security Group for IBEC/ICT Ireland (2015 – 2016), Cultural Diversity Lead for Microsoft Ireland (2013 – 2014) and regular guest lecturer and speaker at multiple venues (2009 - present).

Usman Iqbal MD, MPH, MBA is a Senior Director, Medical Affairs & HEOR at Trevena, Inc. Usman has 12+ years of diverse experience spanning clinical medicine, R&D;/Med AFF, Health economics & outcomes research across academia and biopharmaceutical. His experience spans number of different therapeutic areas including Neuroscience, as Senior Medical Affairs Leader at AstraZeneca, and Oncology, as former Head of Sanofi Oncology, Global Evidence & Value Development (GEVD). As part of both R&D; and Med Affairs in different hybrid roles, Usman has had been responsible for Portfolio Prioritizations, Integrated Medical Affairs Planning, and end-to-end Evidence generation based on Stakeholder engagement (Patient, Provider, Payer), Market insights and Relative Medical Value Assessment Platforms. Prior to working in the industry that also includes Amgen and Boehringer Ingelheim, Usman was at the Boston University Health Outcomes Technology Group as a senior research fellow and served as a research consultant for Veterans Affairs Pharmacy Benefit Management (VA-PBM), the Centers for Medicare &, Medicaid Services’ Health Outcomes Survey Initiative (CMS-HOS), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Usman has authored more than 50 publications and his research experience encompasses patient & physician evaluations in BIG Data and large integrated health care systems with a specific focus on comparative effectiveness, disease management, physician profiling, and patient access solutions.

As the Senior Director, Dr. Kamal Jethwani leads the research and program evaluation initiatives at Partners Connected Health Innovation.

He has designed and implemented multiple clinical trials; led predictive modeling efforts using behavioral parameters; and worked extensively with sensor technology, wearables, mobile applications, texting, and social media to deliver patient care. Kamal is currently exploring newer health delivery models, including employer-based health programs and online social-network-based programs. He focuses on technology-based models of health delivery and leverages behavior-change principles for preventive and supportive care. He tries, always, to personalize care and understand the behavioral motivations that dictate people’s health choices.

Dr. Pandu Kulkarni is the Chief Analytics Officer / Vice President of Biometrics and Advanced Analytics Organization leading an organization of nearly 700 people comprising of Statisticians from discovery to commercialization, Medical writing, and Data Standards and Technology.

He obtained his Ph.D. in Statistics at the LaTrobe University, Melbourne, Australia.

He taught and did research in statistics at the University of South Alabama for 10 years where he attained tenure and full professorship.

He received several grants from the Air Force for the development of techniques to evaluate and study the effects of environmental contaminants such as dioxin on humans. He also received grants from NASA to study the effects of microgravity to see the effectiveness of exercise countermeasures in minimizing the effects of microgravity on astronauts.

He joined Eli Lilly in 2000 and has held numerous leadership positions including technical and management positions within and outside of Statistics.

He has given numerous invited presentations across the globe to provide training, Continuing Medical Education, and workshops on the use of statistics in medical research.

He has published more than 50 articles in statistics and medical areas in peer reviewed journals.

Mr. Molinaro has specialized in transforming and building secure, quantitatively repeatable and compliant Information Technology and Enterprise Risk and Security Departments. Flexible information services can be delivered quickly and secure by developing and integrating proven mature methodologies in security, risk, project, software-development, quality and service management with Business Process Management (BPM) Software in business and technology. Mr. Molinaro has been assisting organizations in business and technology engineering and process improvement and low code deployments over a 33 year career. His experience spans multiple industry verticals that include military, manufacturing/engineering, software/ecommerce, retail, telecommunications/cloud, healthcare, education, insurance and medical diagnostics/Biotech. Mr. Molinaro has held technical and management positions at leading companies and organizations such as the United States Army, Cellular One, MCI Telecommunications Inc., Movado, Ground Travel Technology Team Inc., AEGIS Insurance Services Inc., Bright House Networks and BioReference Laboratories.

Mr. Molinaro holds a Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology with a focus in robotics/software automation and a Master’s of Science in Information Technology and Cybersecurity, is currently completing an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology with a goal to achieve a graduate degree in Physics afterwards. Mr. Molinaro is also a veteran of the United States Army Signal Corps and was nominated runner-up for the CISO of the year by the EC-Council security group (2014 and 2016) and CIO of the year by the Tampa Bay Technology Forum in 2014. He formerly held several “technical” certifications and currently maintains multiple IT, security and risk certifications; CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT), C|CISO (Certified Chief Information Security Officer), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), ITIL (Version 3 Foundations Certification).

Mr. Molinaro was the executive leader and architect of the overall Cyber Defense of the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida (National Public Event and others like the RNC) as well as the head of the IT Dept. Mr. Molinaro’s team was the cyber eyes and ears of this and other National Public Events. His breadth of experience and use of standardized methodology in information systems, risk, security, project management, business process engineering, policy making, power & radio engineering and software development has provided solutions and strategies in design, operations, maintenance and repair that greatly contributed to increasing and improving the corporate bottom line, quality, customer service, security and compliance effectiveness of many businesses. His methods and practices are based on sound and proven scientific and discrete engineering techniques used by the most successful organizations worldwide and he has met and exceeded corporate and customer satisfaction challenges. NANCY L. PERKINS, counsel at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP in Washington, D.C., advises clients on a wide range of data protection issues at the federal and state levels, as well as on cross-border data privacy and security matters. She has particular expertise with the privacy, security, and data breach notification regulations implementing HIPAA and the HITECH Act, and has worked with clients on their HIPAA/HITECH compliance policies and procedures in a wide range of contexts. She regularly advises clients on compliance with a wide range of data protection requirements at the federal and state levels, including rules applicable to online communications and transactions as well as all types of uses and disclosures of medical, financial, and other sensitive personal information. She also has a deep background in international law and advises clients on the reach of non-US privacy rules to entities in the United States. Among other things, Ms. Perkins assists clients in determining whether to opt for protection under the US-EU Privacy Shield relating to the EU Data Protection Directive, the application of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation to non-EU entities, and broader issues arising under the rapidly developing framework for global legal protection of personal information. Ms. Perkins also assists clients on data security issues raised by mobile applications and other emerging technologies, and in responding to data security breaches.

Dr. Tehseen Salimi, MD, MHA, is currently serving as Head of Medical Affairs for Primary care & Women’s Health at Merck. Prior to Joining Merck she has served in Medical Affairs leadership roles within several Pharmaceutical organizations including Roche , Sanofi , AstraZeneca & Trevena Prior to joining the Pharmaceutical industry she served in leadership positions within managed care organizations, including Cigna and Fallon Health care.

Dr. Salimi is a Healthcare Executive with over 25 years of experience leading transformative patient-centric initiatives to bridge the evidence & value gaps. Her leadership developed in complex and rapidly changing environments, is backed with strong tenure in managed care (US Payer) and global pharmaceutical arenas. Her work to develop evidence based frameworks including a model for integrating medical value into portfolio valuation & Medical Affairs strategy & planning process has been critical for customer-centric transformation.

During her tenure, Dr. Salimi was honored with several awards, including the Hippocratic award for connecting Science with Medical Practice , the Physician’s Recognition Award for Best Outcomes and the Superior Achievement Award at Cigna. She was also featured in the 1998 annual report of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for the Best Practice Quality Improvement Initiative. She attributes her success to commitment to Patient care, perseverance, and dedication to Innovation & learning.

Dr.Salimi is a physician by training and obtained her Preventive medicine fellowship from University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Health administration from a joint degree program at Clark and UMass.

Lauren B. Steinfeld serves as Chief Privacy Officer for Penn Medicine. In this position, Ms. Steinfeld leads and oversees the HIPAA compliance program and other privacy initiatives for Penn’s five hospitals, over 200 physician practices, and the School of Medicine research program. Ms. Steinfeld previously served as Chief Privacy Officer for the University of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Steinfeld teaches a Privacy Law course at Penn Law with Professor Christopher Yoo.

Prior to her work at Penn, Ms. Steinfeld worked at the Office of Management and Budget as the Associate Chief Counselor for Privacy and prior to that, as Attorney Advisor to Federal Trade Commissioner Mozelle Thompson.

Ms. Steinfeld received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Jennifer L. Wong is the Chief of Strategic Alliances for CancerLinQ LLC, a big data and health information technology venture of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). As a business executive and ambassador for CancerLinQ, Jennifer leads strategy and alliances by creating novel public, private and not-for-profit partnerships with institutions and influencers. With experience across the health care, data and technology sectors, she is a change agent that has brought together the power of partnership, collaboration and innovation to convene and create the CancerLinQ community–driving thought leadership, building coalitions, launching key engagements and catalyzing a movement to accelerate the development of novel data-driven, evidence-based solutions and ventures with impact.

Prior to joining CancerLinQ, Jennifer served as the Director of Strategic Innovation and Clinical Ventures at the American College of Cardiology (ACC). As Managing Director of the Diabetes Collaborative Registry®, she was instrumental in the launch of the first global, multispecialty, clinical, big data diabetes initiative with a network of leading organizations, and led growth and development strategy for the PINNACLE (Practice Innovation and Clinical Excellence) Registry®, the largest ambulatory cardiovascular quality improvement registry in the United States.

Jennifer also worked in medical education at the Association of American Medical Colleges, co-founded an educational technology startup, and led national-scale admissions recruitment strategies to advance talented young women in their pursuit of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Jennifer graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a degree in Biology and concentrations in Spanish and Brain and Cognitive Sciences. She earned Pi Alpha Alpha highest honors as a Master of Public Policy in Innovation and Strategic Management from The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C.
