2011 WHCC Health Innovations Award Winners

(From left to right): Prof. Barbara Parfitt, Director of Global Health, Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland leads a program that trains women villagers in Bangladesh as highly-skilled nurses. Zubaida Bai is founder and CEO of Ayzh, a non-profit organization that distributes clean birth kits that reduce incidences of maternal and infant deaths. Sangita Reddy, Executive Director of Operations at Apollo Hospitals Group in India, accepted an award for a telemonitoring program her system operates that significantly extends the availability of quality care to residents in rural areas.
