The 3rd Annual World Health Care Congress Middle East

The challenges staffing Abu Dhabi with a quality health care work force

At the 2nd Annual World Health Care Congress Middle East, Carl Stanifer, CEO, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), discusses how health care staffing is one of the most significant challenges in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Only a small portion of doctors, nurses and other health care workers are indigenous to the country, so SEHA and similar organizations are constantly seeking qualified workers from other countries. While staffing remains a challenge, Stanifer said SEHA has made great strides in implementing an Electronic Medical Record system that digitizes virtually all patient data and has improved ease of care.
