Session 5—Innovations in Delivery: Worksite Based Colorectal Cancer Awareness and Screening
Colorectal Cancer is the #2 cancer killer in the US today, but by raising awareness about this highly preventable cancer, employers can make a difference. In 2007, Quest Diagnostics expanded its worksite based wellness and prevention program to include Colorectal Cancer awareness and screening. Since then, thousands of people have come into screening compliance, and lives (and costs) have been directly affected. Participants in this session will learn about who is at risk, including the influences of age, gender, and ethnicity, how Quest helped remove barriers to screening, and how employers can get involved immediately to effectively bring visibility to colon cancer, and make screening compliance a reality.
