- Examine how the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research and IOM priority recommendations will potentially impact patients health disparities and subgroups of patients traditionally under-represented in research
- Balance concerns related to how comparative effectiveness research may lead to "one size fits all” medicine and negatively impact subgroups already experiencing health disparities with attention with potential solutions
- Explore a "Four T” strategy for engaging stakeholders in comparative effectiveness research with emphasis on patient engagement (particularly minorities), providers and other groups with attention to Trust, Technology, Tailored, Treatments
