The storyboard process was originally developed by Walt Disney in the 1930s to convey certain portions of a larger and more in-depth story in a visual manner. By highlighting key points and breakthroughs within a story or project the viewer of a story board can quickly gain an idea on the scope, plan and results of that effort. Komatsu, a Japanese tractor company, is believed to be one of the first companies to transition this specifically into a way of reporting on Performance Excellence projects that several other companies have seen value in adopting as a method for project reporting.

So that you have an opportunity to highlight projects and success stories we would like to invite you to participate in this interactive storyboarding session by featuring one of your recent quality improvement efforts. These story boards will not only create interest in the work that you have been doing with others at the event, but they will be a great tool for you to use in your workplace to educate other colleagues about these improvements. For more information to participate in this session please indicate your interest by ticking the box on the registration form or emailing Ann McGrath at [email protected]. Space will be limited so make sure you sign up early!
