The Abu Dhabi Health Innovation Awards are designed to identify, recognize, and spread innovation in health promotion and delivery world-wide. Abu Dhabi recognizes and supports the idea that meaningful innovation can come from a variety of sources, ranging from the great academic research institutions and commercial laboratories to less formal but equally effective innovators.

Applications will be sought in the following broad categories.

1. Hospitals and health delivery
2. Public and population health
3. Health system, product and service financing
4. Health care research

We prefer innovations that are actually producing measurable results and are economically sustainable over time, and that can measurably promote health and prevent or heal disease or injuries. Innovations that occur outside of a hospital or a clinic such as water, sanitation, nutrition and health promotion programs will also be considered.
